Morning mist

Inspired by a misty Northumberland morning I skipped breakfast and headed for Heavenfield, just east of Chollerford on the Military Road.  The idea was to take some photographs of St Oswald’s in the early morning mist but it was actually sitting in the clear above the clinging cold air of the valleys.  These are three views north from the back of the graveyard:

Thanks, I wasn’t sure if they worked or not. Strange how you go out for one thing and come back with something completely different – a bit like my wife when she goes shopping 🙂

Wow, that’a a lot of mole holes in your shot. I think they were up early and didn’t miss eating their breakfast like you did. Nice morning mist photographs and I hope you had a great brunch when you got back home or at least a hot cup of coffee.

The moles seem to thrive around these parts – there is a ‘colony’ in the field next to where we live and I fear they will one day migrate to our front garden.

Great images! Unfortunately my “Like” button does not work today – I guess it’s due to the slow internet connection in my Berliner hotel.

Thanks Cornelia – the perils of Internet connectivity on the move. Enjoy Berlin – photos to follow?

Absolutely beautiful! Seeing the mist and sunshine at the same time, you caught these moments really well! So you have mole problems too, your country and mine have a lot in common 😀

Many thanks, some days we just get lucky. It is a shame to do anything about getting rid of the moles, they are such nice little creatures and they work so hard 🙂

We know that our mole feeds on our compost 😀 can you believe this? people here used to put broken glass in their holes to let them bleed to death. This is so barbaric…
